_______AKUVIDO
Akuvido are Hanna Kuts and Viktor Dovhalyuk. Both studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lehmberg, Ukraine and currently living in Berlin. They are at present exploring their interdisciplinary field from several, different view point, in order to combine sound, video, photo, computer animation into software based interactive projects. Each project represents a game, which synthesizes a different interpretation and expression of their new harmony of the present. Then they transpose this with ease from one very different environment to another, i.e. from abstract minimalism to the world of video games. Akuvido has exhibited at numerous international festivals, e.g.: Transmediale, Berlin; Club Transmediale, Berlin; Netmage, Bologna, Italia; Vilette Numerique Festival, Paris; New Forms Festival, Vancouver among others.

On the festival they will present the audiovisual project NebeNeiNaNder 1.3. More information can be found at akuvido's website http://www.akuvido.de/cv

_______________________________FRANZ POMASSL
Pomassl is one of the dazzling figureheads of the cutting edge electronic music scene. The Austrian based psycho-physio musician, sound and recording artist, label network operator, and turntablist, counts to the early protagonists and today's exploring pioneers of new electronica and future experimental play.

From 1996 up till now, Pomassl has released seven full-length solo-albums, three
vinyl ep's, did numerous contributions on labels such as Laton, Raster-Noton,
Craft, Mille Plateaux, Ash International, Nexsound.
Live, Pomassl offers soundings spanning from subtle glitches to typically interruptions and pure-tone electronic manipulations along the boundaries of our human aural perception system to ultra-minimalist, stuttering electroid and skeletal sparse rhythmatics, funky schizoid, but sometimes pretty dancefloor-orientated with a minimum of extranous detail and a maximum o impact. Realized through the exclusively use of self developed and handcrafted electro-acoustic instruments.

_____________________PAUL KUST [of The Moglass]
Paul Kust is an alias of Yuri Kulishenko - the core member of the Moglass – an improv trio (guitar, bass, electronics) from Ukraine.
The group under the Moglass came into being in 1997, preceded by five years of home projects that were never released in public. The Moglass widely used the latest technical achievements of the time such as sampling and postproduction of all kinds. Spellbound with the aesthetics of freeform music, the musicians of the group gradually turned away from glossy sound of their early records and began to decline invitations to fancy discos thus gaining freedom of creating music at home and communicating with a bunch of soul mates scattered all over the world. Up-to-date records of the Moglass are spontaneous improvisations, mostly live records that by no means always can be called free-noise because sometimes they are very gentle and melodic.

__________STAALPLAAT SOUNDSYSTEM
Staalplaat Soundsystem presents Yokomono
Yokomono is the Staalplaat Mono Erosive Surround Sound Installation.
The present setup consists of 10 vinyl killers - toy car record players, each customised with its own fm transmitter. The sound will come through a set of radios that receives the signal transmitted by the vinyl killers.
You might think Yokomono is just a DJ set with 10 turntables, and in a way that is correct but in many more ways Yokomono is completely different.
First of all; each killer is mono and has pour sound quality, but much more Yokomono is very hard to handle, you can not really select a track or make it stop when you want to, its more putting the needle down blindfolded.
The real difference starts when you realise each killer runs on batteries, meaning the speed is unstable and it will slow down during the concert, the fact that the batteries run out will not only effect the speed but it will effect the fm frequency that the killer is transmitting too.
Making Yokomono unstable on different levels.
The fact that we transmit with 10 fm transmitters at the same time means that each transmitter is effecting the other. These interference and the unstable media that is transmitting makes the whole set unpredictable and hard to control, making Yokomono unique and adventures.
Staalplaat Soundsystem is Geert-Jan Hobijn (NL) and Carsten Stabenow (GER).
